Our work has been an investigation into the nature of sustenance from both a physical and meta-physical or spiritual dimension. When one is moved by a work of art, one internalizes it and makes it one's own in a way that is similar to eating dinner. In many languages the word "taste" refers not only to the physical sense but also to the world of aesthetic discernment.

We have used the process of ingestion and digestion to diagram the process of how art feeds our spirit. By introducing edibility as a factor in art -- by being offered art to be eaten and therefore "tasted" in the physical way -- we hope that this will encourage confidence in one's aesthetic sense of taste when confronting art in general, contemporary art in particular, and, at the broadest level, one's whole life.
